Embiid: I've dominated Turner since I got to the league

The Philadelphia 76ers beat the Indiana Pacers on Monday, and Joel Embiid once again got the best of fellow center Myles Turner.

Embiid, who scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, wasn't shy talking about it afterward.

"I say this respectfully, but that's a matchup that I've dominated since I got to the league," Embiid told reporters.

"Great defender, (Turner) leads the league in blocks, he should be up there when it comes to Defensive Player of the Year, (but) that's also one of my goals. ... You've got to take advantage of those matchups, especially if I have my eye set on being the Defensive Player of the Year."

Turner, who was held to 11 points and three rebounds Monday, has made a long-awaited leap this season, but he still often finds himself thwarted by Embiid. Going into Monday's game, Embiid was averaging 28.4 points and 12.6 rebounds in games against the Pacers pivot. Turner, meanwhile, was averaging 8.5 points and 5.2 boards.
