McCollum to return from 25-game absence vs. Pelicans
Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum will be available to return from his 25-game absence Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans, according to The Athletic's Jason Quick.
McCollum, who hasn't played since Jan. 16 because of a fractured foot, isn't designated on Portland's latest injury report.
Prior to his injury, McCollum was averaging career highs with 26.7 points per game and 44.1% shooting from distance. He's also averaging five assists and 3.9 rebounds per game.
Portland has been able to stay afloat without McCollum, owning a 14-11 record in his absence.
With McCollum set to come back, the Trail Blazers are now only down one starter with Jusuf Nurkic sidelined. The big man is getting closer to a return after fracturing his wrist and should come back in approximately two weeks, according to Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.
