The Los Angeles Lakers agreed to a deal with free-agent wing Ben McLemore, the team announced.
McLemore's deal will span the rest of the 2020-21 campaign, agent Rich Paul told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
The Houston Rockets waived McLemore, and the 28-year-old received interest from multiple contending teams, including the Milwaukee Bucks, according to Charania.
McLemore averaged 7.4 points and 2.1 rebounds, and he shot 33.1% from beyond the arc in 32 games for the Rockets this season. However, the eight-year veteran fared much better with the club in 2019-20, shooting 40% on threes while scoring 10.1 points per game, mostly off the bench.
