Rockets' streak of 8 straight playoff appearances comes to an end

The Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves became the first teams to get eliminated from postseason contention following the San Antonio Spurs' win over the Detroit Pistons on Thursday, according to ESPN Stats & Info.
As a result, Houston's (15-44) league-leading streak of eight straight playoff appearances came to an end. Excluding this season, the Rockets earned a combined 413-233 record during their streak.
The Toronto Raptors and Portland Trail Blazers now share the NBA's longest active playoff streak at seven consecutive seasons.
