Green: 'Teams are terrified' of Curry's scoring ability
Draymond Green believes the Golden State Warriors possess a rare weapon, one capable of tilting the balance of power whenever he checks into the game.
"Anytime you step on the floor with Steph Curry, there's an advantage there," Green said following Monday's 123-108 win over the Pelicans, according to ESPN's Nick Friedell. "So, teams are terrified of him - and everywhere he runs on the floor, with or without the ball, teams are terrified. That type of gravity, he pulls a lot of weight."
Against New Orleans, Curry dropped 41 points - tying his eighth-largest scoring total for the year - to go along with eight assists, four rebounds, and a steal in 35 minutes of action.
As a whole, the Warriors were plus-19 with the two-time MVP on the floor.
"I wouldn't want to see a team with Steph Curry on it," Green continued. "We all know what he's capable of. The guy can take over a game and make it hard for any team in the NBA on any given night."
Monday's win improved the Warriors' record to 33-32 (.508) this season, placing them eighth in the Western Conference standings.
If the postseason began today, Golden State would face the Portland Trail Blazers in the first play-in game to determine the West's seventh seed. Then, the loser of that contest would face the winner of the second play-in game between the Memphis Grizzlies and San Antonio Spurs for the conference's eighth and final playoff berth.
