A Michael Jordan trading card has fetched a record-breaking price at auction with over two weeks left to bid.

The 1997-98 signed NBA All-Star Game jersey patch card has a current top bid of over $1.6 million at Goldin Auctions, which would make it the most expensive Jordan item to ever sell at auction, according to Darren Rovell of Action Network.

The card, numbered 21 out of 23, has been graded Near Mint-Mint 8 by PSA with an autograph grade of nine.

"Simply and succinctly, this is easily the most significant Michael Jordan trading card ever produced," the auction listing reads. "As the first autographed patch card - providentially picturing and honoring Michael Jordan and inspiring entirely new, innovative concepts - this outstanding piece stands tall among all other, nominally comparable modern artifacts."

Another version of the same card fetched $1.44 million in February, setting the previous record for the most expensive Jordan card ever sold at auction.
