Giannis: 'Elbow is good' after hard screen vs. Heat
Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo downplayed concern over an apparent elbow ailment he suffered in Saturday's tilt versus the Miami Heat.
"I feel good," Antetokounmpo said following the 109-107 overtime victory in Game 1, according to ESPN's Kevin Arnovitz. "The elbow is good."
The 26-year-old appeared to injure his elbow while fighting through a fourth-quarter screen set by Heat big man Bam Adebayo. Antetokounmpo stayed in the game - eventually donning a compression sleeve - but looked to have difficulty fully extending his left arm.
Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer echoed his star player's sentiment.
"I think he just got banged," the bench boss said, according to WISN's Stephen Watson. "Felt it for a few minutes, but it's nothing."
Antetokounmpo finished with 26 points on 10-of-27 shooting, 18 rebounds, five assists (to five turnovers), and three steals in 45 minutes of action.
Game 2 is set for Monday evening.
