Washington Wizards forward Davis Bertans will require 4-to-6 weeks to recover from a grade 2 calf strain, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Bertans underwent an MRI after being forced to exit Game 4, which revealed the extent of his injury. The Latvian forward registered 15 points on 3-of-6 shooting from long range in 23 minutes before departing.
The 28-year-old was one of Washington's more reliable 3-point marksman during the regular season, connecting on 39.5% of his 7.5 attempts from distance per game. Bertans is in the first season of a five-year, $80-million contract signed this past offseason.
The Wizards currently trail the Philadelphia 76ers 3-1 in the opening round of the playoffs. Washington will look to stave off elimination once again when the team takes on Philadelphia in Game 5 on Wednesday.
