Wizards select Corey Kispert with No. 15 pick
With the No. 15 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, the Washington Wizards have selected Gonzaga forward Corey Kispert.
Kispert projects to arguably be the best shooter in this year's draft. The 22-year-old, who was a crucial piece in the Bulldogs' undefeated run to the NCAA Tournament final against Baylor in April, played four full campaigns with the Zags but didn't truly break out until his junior year.
While his shooting touch is undoubtedly his strongest skill, Kispert possesses a host of other NBA-ready qualities, including tidy decision-making bolstered by a 6-foot-7, 223-pound frame. While his age presumably means less upside down the road, the former Bulldogs' skillset would allow him to immediately slot into a rotation this season and help out any NBA team trying to contend.
