Doncic: Winning gold with Slovenia would mean more than NBA title
Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic hopes to win both an NBA championship and Olympic gold during his career but admits one holds more meaning for him.
When asked to pick between a league title and a gold medal Saturday, Doncic went with the latter.
"I would say gold medal with Slovenia," Doncic said. "You play for your country and that's something that really, really ... but I wouldn't mind both."

Slovenia defeated Venezuela 98-70 in the semifinals of an Olympic qualifying tournament in Kaunas, Lithuania, on Saturday and is now one win away from earning a spot at the Tokyo 2020 Games.
"It would be amazing. It would be a dream to be in the Olympics," Doncic said, according to The Associated Press. "Not just me, I think the whole federation of Slovenia and the whole country. They really cheer for us, and I hope we get to that."
Doncic joined the Slovenian national team in June after the Los Angeles Clippers eliminated the Mavs in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
