Denver Nuggets forward JaMychal Green declined his $7.6-million player option for the 2021-22 season to become an unrestricted free agent, The Athletic's Shams Charania reports.
Denver and the seven-year veteran have a strong mutual interest in reaching a new deal this summer, Charania adds. However, there will also be other suitors for the 6-foot-8 Alabama product.
Green averaged 8.1 points and 4.8 rebounds in 58 games last season while filling a bench role for the Nuggets. Denver finished the campaign third in the Western Conference with a 47-25 record.
