Report: Lakers, Kings discussed Kuzma-Hield trade
The Los Angeles Lakers have their eye on one of the Sacramento Kings' best shooters.
The Lakers discussed a deal for Kings shooting guard Buddy Hield that would send forward Kyle Kuzma to Sacramento as part of a potential package, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
It's unclear how extensive the discussions have been, or what else Los Angeles would trade to the Kings. However, multiple teams have expressed interest in Kuzma, Charania reports.
Los Angeles is reportedly focused on providing LeBron James and Anthony Davis with a third star who can supply more playmaking and shot creation. San Antonio Spurs wing DeMar DeRozan and Toronto Raptors star guard Kyle Lowry have both apparently expressed interest in joining the Lakers. The longtime friends and former Raptors teammates are impending free agents.
