Report: Heat, Butler expected to agree to max extension over $184M

The Miami Heat are expected to agree on a maximum contract extension with Jimmy Butler once the NBA officially rolls over to its new season on Aug. 6, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania and Jon Krawczynski.
Butler's deal will reportedly be worth over $184 million over four years.
The five-time All-Star is coming off his second season in Miami. He registered 21.5 points, 7.1 assists, 6.9 rebounds, and an NBA-high 2.1 steals per game in 2020-21.
