The Los Angeles Lakers signed head coach Frank Vogel to a contract extension, the team announced.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Vogel's initial deal with Los Angeles was set to expire following the 2021-22 campaign.
Vogel has earned a 94-49 record in regular-season play and an 18-9 postseason mark in two campaigns as the Lakers' bench boss. He helped guide L.A. to its NBA record-tying 17th championship in 2020, then followed that up by turning the Lakers into the league's No. 1-ranked team defense in 2020-21.
The 48-year-old's previous head coaching stops were with the Indiana Pacers and Orlando Magic. He's amassed a career record of 398-340 during the regular season and 49-39 in playoff competition.
