Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum was elected as the new president of the National Basketball Players Association, the union announced.
Meanwhile, Boston Celtics forward Grant Williams was voted the NBPA's new vice president.
McCollum succeeds two-term NBPA president Chris Paul. His four-year term begins immediately.
The 2015-16 Most Improved Player had served as NBPA vice president since 2018. McCollum's most pressing task will be to search for a successor to longtime NBPA director Michele Roberts.
