Celtics' Smart agrees to reported 4-year, $77M extension
Marcus Smart is extending his stay in Boston.
The Celtics guard agreed to a four-year, $77-million max contract extension, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports. His deal contains a trade kicker, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania, and it runs through the 2025-26 season.

Smart, 27, has spent his entire seven-year career with the Celtics, who drafted him sixth overall in 2014.
The dynamic defensive guard has averaged 10.2 points, 4.2 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.6 steals over 449 games (228 starts). He's earned two All-Defensive first-team selections and an All-Rookie team spot.
Smart is coming off his best season, averaging career highs in points (13.1), assists (5.7), and blocks (0.9) per game.
