Veteran Los Angeles Lakers wing Trevor Ariza will be sidelined for at least eight weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right ankle Wednesday, the team announced.
The 36-year-old returned to the Lakers this offseason after previously playing with them for parts of two seasons from 2007-09, a span that included the Lakers' 2009 championship win.
Ariza averaged 9.4 points on 41.1% shooting with 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and one steal in 28 minutes per game across 30 appearances with the Miami Heat last season.
