Kidd jokes about starting bowling team after photo goes viral

Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd received the meme treatment this week after a photo of him in a retro warmup with large collars went viral.

Kidd was asked about Twitter's reaction to the photo Friday and joined in on the joke.

"I'm thinking in my spare time to start a bowling team," he told reporters, per the Dallas Morning News' Callie Caplan. "So whoever would like to wear that, we'll get those in different colors.

"It's fun. I mean, it was kind of funny that I was on a bowling team. It was a warmup before my time, to make it old."

In addition to the bowling comparisons, Twitter account Korked Bats has been continuously enlarging Kidd's collar. They currently have the collar touring outer space.
