Avery Bradley returning to Lakers following waiver claim
The Los Angeles Lakers have successful claimed veteran guard Avery Bradley off waivers, the team announced Monday.
The 30-year-old played for the Golden State Warriors during the preseason before being waived over the weekend.
Bradley previously played for the Lakers during their title-winning 2019-20 campaign. However, despite starting 44 of his 49 appearances, Bradley opted against joining the club in the Disney World bubble for the resumption of the season following the lengthy COVID-19 hiatus.
In 27 appearances split between the Miami Heat and Houston Rockets last season, Bradley averaged 8.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in just over 24 minutes per game. He was a two-time All-Defensive team selection during his time with the Boston Celtics earlier in his career, including a first-team nod in 2015-16.
