Jazz-Kings delayed for more than 10 minutes after fan vomits on court
If you're looking for a sign from the basketball gods that the Sacramento Kings are close to turning their season around ... look away.
The team's game versus the visiting Utah Jazz experienced a lengthy stoppage in the middle of the fourth quarter after a fan sitting courtside at the Golden 1 Center vomited onto the court adjacent to the Jazz's bench, according to numerous eye-witness accounts.
After play resumed, the Jazz prevailed with a 123-105 win - a fitting reward for fans who spent more than 10 minutes watching an impromptu dance-off while Kings mascot Samson attempted to corral a pool of vomit.
These jokes just write themselves, don't they?
In any case, Jazz center Rudy Gobert took a gentler, more philosophical approach to the event postgame.
"Life is full of surprises. … I hope he was ok," Gobert said, according to the Salt Lake Tribune's Eric Walden. "I actually made eye contact with him.
"He was smiling. He was smiling and throwing up at the same time.”
