The Milwaukee Bucks are bringing back a familiar face by signing 12-year NBA veteran Wesley Matthews to a deal, the team announced Wednesday.
Matthews started all 67 games he played for the Bucks in 2019-20, scoring 7.4 points per contest while shooting 36% from deep. The undrafted guard most recently suited up for the Los Angeles Lakers last season.
Milwaukee is waiving rookie forward Georgios Kalaitzakis, this year's No. 60 pick, to make room for Matthews on the roster, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
The Bucks have been active in free agency lately, signing G League standout Javonte Smart and bringing in former All-NBA center DeMarcus Cousins after Brook Lopez underwent back surgery.
