Report: Hawks to sign Stephenson to 10-day hardship deal
The Atlanta Hawks are signing veteran wing Lance Stephenson to a 10-day deal using a hardship exemption, sources told NBA insider Marc Stein.
Stephenson last played in the NBA in 2018-19, when he made 68 appearances for the Los Angeles Lakers, predominantly as a reserve. The 31-year-old then played a season in the Chinese Basketball Association for the Liaoning Flying Leopards.
In October, Denver Nuggets affiliate the Grand Rapids Gold selected the 6-foot-6 journeyman 13th in the G League draft.
The 31-year-old has suited up for the Lakers, Indiana Pacers, Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves, and New Orleans Pelicans over a nine-year career in the NBA. He owns career marks of 8.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in 508 games.
