NBA postpones Pelicans-76ers, Nets' games vs. Nuggets, Wizards
The NBA has postponed Sunday's matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and Denver Nuggets, as well as the New Orleans Pelicans' tilt against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The league also postponed the Cleveland Cavaliers-Atlanta Hawks game earlier in the day.
It also reportedly postponed the Nets' next game against the Washington Wizards scheduled for Tuesday at Barclays Center.
Brooklyn has multiple members of its roster in health and safety protocols and had just eight players available for Saturday's loss to the Orlando Magic.
LaMarcus Aldridge, DeAndre' Bembry, Bruce Brown, Jevon Carter, James Harden, James Johnson, Paul Millsap, Kevin Durant, and Day'Ron Sharpe all missed the game due to protocols, while Joe Harris and Nic Claxton were ruled out with injury.
Cleveland is dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak after five players reportedly tested positive Sunday, while Hawks star Trae Young reportedly entered protocols earlier in the day.
The 76ers, meanwhile, are navigating a roster crunch of their own after Andre Drummond and Shake Milton entered protocols Sunday.
