New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose will miss at least eight weeks after undergoing surgery on his right ankle, the team announced on Wednesday.
Rose has been out of the lineup since leaving the Knicks' game against the Houston Rockets on Dec. 16.
The former MVP has dealt with a multitude of ankle injuries over his career and has already missed three games earlier this season.
The 33-year-old was putting together a solid campaign for New York in 26 appearances, scoring 12 points per game on 44.5% shooting to go along with four assists and three rebounds.
