After Ja Morant showed tough love to a young fan in a Golden State Warriors jersey who seemingly wanted to high-five the ascendant franchise star, the Memphis Grizzlies have devised a way to make sure local kids are wearing the right colors from here on out.

On Thursday, kids 12 and under can swap out an opposing team's jersey for a replica Morant or Jaren Jackson Jr. jersey - along with two tickets to the Grizzlies' game against the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves. The trade-in event starts at 6 p.m. ET in the Grand Lobby of FedExForum.

The initiative is seemingly a direct response to what Morant told reporters after Tuesday's 116-108 win over the visiting Warriors.

"He was disrespectful with that jersey on," the third-year point guard said, per Ballislife.com. "We in Memphis. It looked like he wanted to cheer, but he had that jersey on. I apologized to him but in that moment, bro, take that jersey off and then dap me up."

Morant added: "Somebody find his information, I'll send him (a Grizzlies jersey) myself."
