LeBron surpasses Curry in All-Star fan vote one week before starters announced
The NBA released its third set of fan voting results for All-Star starters, with little movement near the top of the vote-getters.
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James surpassed Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Stephen Curry for the lead in total votes with nearly seven million. Curry now sits in second, with Brooklyn Nets wing Kevin Durant remaining in third.
The Milwaukee Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo and Denver Nuggets' Nikola Jokic round out the top five. There were no new players included in this week's returns compared to the last tally.

The fan vote accounts for 50% of final vote weighting for All-Star Game starters, with current players and a media panel each contributing 25% as well. Fan voting concludes on Jan. 22. Starters will be announced on Jan. 27, while reserves - selected by NBA head coaches - will be announced on Feb. 3.
The game itself will take place in Cleveland on Feb. 20.
