Report: Green, Toppin to headline Slam Dunk contest participants
Houston Rockets rookie Jalen Green, Orlando Magic guard Cole Anthony, New York Knicks forward Obi Toppin, and Golden State Warriors wing Juan Toscano-Anderson are expected to be the four participants in this year's Slam Dunk contest, sources told Stadium's Shams Charania.
Toppin is the only reported contestant to have previous experience in the event. The Knicks' high-flyer participated in last year's contest but lost in the final to Portland Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons.
Green is arguably one of the league's most electrifying dunkers this season. The rookie has dominated highlight reels, frequently throwing down thunderous in-game slams for a young Rockets side.
Anthony was the first player reportedly committed to this year's festivities.
The Slam Dunk contest is scheduled for Feb. 19 in Cleveland.
