Tyrese Haliburton voiced his displeasure toward the Sacramento Kings after he was traded to the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday.

"They ain't want me," Haliburton told reporters, including IndyStar's James Boyd on Thursday.

"I put a lot of love, a lot of trust in Sacramento, and kind of immersed myself into the community and with the people. And they just got rid of me."

The Kings traded their young guard to acquire Pacers big man Domantas Sabonis despite Haliburton's desire to remain in Sacramento.

Last year's first-team All-Rookie member won't have to wait long to suit up for his new team, as he's expected to make his debut on Friday against the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to head coach Rick Carlisle.

"It hurt when I got traded, because I loved being there and I loved the people, but here I'm going to do the same thing," said Haliburton. "I'm going to put everything I've got into this."
