Report: Ex-ROY Evans signing with Bucks' G League team following drug ban
Free-agent guard Tyreke Evans is expected to join the Milwaukee Bucks' G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, in what is effectively an audition to potentially make his NBA return, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
The 32-year-old has been eligible to sign with any team since mid-February after being reinstated from a nearly three-year suspension for violating the league's anti-drug program in 2019.
While playing with the Indiana Pacers in 2018-19, Evans tallied 10.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game with 35.6% shooting on threes.
Overall, the 2009-10 Rookie of the Year has averaged 15.7 points, 4.8 assists, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.2 steals across 10 seasons, primarily as a member of the Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans.
