Minnesota Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels will remain sidelined indefinitely with a left ankle sprain, the team announced on Tuesday.
McDaniels left Monday's contest against the San Antonio Spurs in the fourth quarter with a lower-body injury.
Doctors will reassess his ankle in two weeks, the team added.
The second-year forward is averaging 9.4 points and 4.3 rebounds in 67 games for the Timberwolves. The team sits at 40-30 with 12 games to go in the regular season, good for seventh in the Western Conference.
