Jerami Grant's 2021-22 season has come to a close.
The Pistons forward will miss Detroit's final seven regular-season games with a left calf strain, the team announced Monday, according to basketball insider Marc Stein.
Grant sustained the calf strain Friday during the first quarter of Detroit's 100-97 loss to the Washington Wizards. He exited with five points, one assist, and one rebound in seven-and-a-half minutes of action.
The 28-year-old veteran finishes his season averaging 19.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and one block across 47 starts. Grant's calf strain is the latest in a growing list of injuries for the forward; he missed 24 consecutive games from Dec. 12 to Feb. 1 after undergoing thumb surgery.
Marvin Bagley will likely continue starting in place of Grant to close out the campaign.
Detroit is currently in a three-way tie with the Orlando Magic and Houston Rockets for the NBA's worst record at 20-55.
