The Minnesota Timberwolves will sign big man Greg Monroe for the remainder of the season after his most recent 10-day contract with the Utah Jazz ended on Wednesday, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Monroe has made 13 appearances with four clubs this season, including a stretch of three outings with the Timberwolves from late December to early January while the team dealt with COVID-related absences.

His most productive game of the season was also his first with Minnesota on Dec. 27. In 25 minutes, Monroe tallied 11 points, nine rebounds, six assists, two steals, and one block, helping the Timberwolves defeat the visiting Boston Celtics.

Overall, the 31-year-old has averaged 5.2 points on 57.1% shooting with 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 13.6 minutes per game. At the height of his career, the Georgetown product averaged a double-double with the Detroit Pistons in 2014-15.
