LeBron James apparently has a candidate in mind to become the next head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.
The 18-time All-Star would be very enthused by the idea of the Lakers hiring Mark Jackson to replace Frank Vogel, sources told The Athletic's Sam Amick.
Jackson last coached in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors during the 2013-14 campaign. He compiled a 121-109 record across three regular seasons and a 9-10 postseason record.
The Lakers fired Vogel on Monday after three seasons. They finished outside of the playoff and play-in tournament picture with a disappointing 33-49 record this campaign.
L.A. is reportedly targeting Toronto Raptors bench boss Nick Nurse as Vogel's replacement.
