The Oklahoma City Thunder are bringing back up-and-coming guard Luguentz Dort on a five-year, $87.5-million contract, his agent told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Dort put up the best season of his career in his junior campaign, scoring 17.2 points per game. The former Arizona State Sun Devil has improved his point total each year since going undrafted back in 2019.
A rising player in the league due to his lockdown defense, the Montreal native had his $1.9-million team option declined before signing Thursday's deal. Oklahoma City could have matched any contract opposing teams offered him during this year's free agency.
