Report: Oladipo sticks with Heat on $11M deal
The Miami Heat are re-signing guard Victor Oladipo to a one-year, $11-million contract, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Oladipo is coming off his second season in Miami following a March 2021 trade from the Houston Rockets, though the 30-year-old was severely limited due to quadriceps surgery. After undergoing the procedure in May 2021, he didn't make his 2021-22 season debut until March 7 - the Heat's 66th game of the regular season.
In eight regular-season games, Oladipo averaged 12.4 points, 3.5 assists, and 2.9 rebounds while shooting 41.7% from deep and showing flashes of his pre-injury self. The onetime Indiana Pacers star made 15 appearances in the postseason for the Heat, 14 of them off the bench, scoring 10.6 points per game but shooting just 27.4% from distance.
