Portland Trail Blazers lottery pick Shaedon Sharpe will miss the rest of Las Vegas Summer League due to a small labral tear in his left shoulder, the team announced Saturday.
The Blazers will re-evaluate the rookie in 10-to-14 days.
The injury occurred during the team's summer league game on Thursday against the Detroit Pistons. Sharpe only played six minutes, scoring a single basket.
Portland drafted the guard out of Kentucky seventh overall despite him never suiting up for the Wildcats. The former No. 1 overall prospect averaged 22.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in the 2021 Nike Elite Youth Basketball League.
