Georgian players attacked Turkish wing Furkan Korkmaz while he headed to the locker rooms following his ejection from Sunday's game between the two nations, the Turkish national team said, according to CNN's Homero De la Fuente.

Korkmaz, who plays in the NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers, is representing Turkey at EuroBasket 2022. He was unharmed, De La Fuente reports, citing a source.

Omer Onan, vice president of the Turkish Basketball Federation, said Turkey will withdraw from the competition if FIBA does not release security footage of the incident.

"While Furkan Korkmaz was walking in the hallway to the locker rooms with our trainer, Georgia's players who were not on the active roster attacked him," Onan said in a statement. Onan also said that security guards were involved in the altercation.

Korkmaz was tossed from Sunday's Group A matchup in the fourth quarter after butting heads with Georgia's Duda Sanadze following a hard foul by Sanadze. Referees and teammates from both sides quickly stepped in to separate the two.

Georgia's basketball federation didn't immediately respond to a request for comment, though FIBA has launched an investigation, according to De La Fuente. The 76ers declined to comment.

Georgia, which hosted the game in its capital, Tbilisi, won 88-83 in double overtime.
