Durant requests explanation for NBA 2K23 rating: I should be a 99
Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant took to Twitter on Tuesday to ask why his NBA 2K23 rating isn't a 99, the highest mark available in the popular video game.
Aye @Ronnie2K I’m gonna need an explanation on why I’m not a 99? This has become laughable https://t.co/oySQUtcDP2

Durant's 96 rating puts him in a five-way tie for second, alongside Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, former teammate Stephen Curry, reigning MVP Nikola Jokic, and Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid.
Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has the highest overall rating at 97.
Ronnie 2K, the face of the game, responded to Durant's inquiry:
I am petitioning for us to remove MJ on the cover and replacing with you the real 99 https://t.co/hzXzHhU04X
