Odom says fan gifted back his pawned Lakers championship rings

Lamar Odom was reunited with his Los Angeles Lakers championship rings.

Odom, who was part of the Lakers teams that won back-to-back NBA titles in 2009 and 2010, pawned his two rings in 2016 to help pay for medical bills following his near-fatal drug overdose in Nevada. The rings went up for auction in 2020, selling for $36,600 and $78,000, according to TMZ Sports.

On the latest episode of his "On The LO" podcast, Odom revealed he ran into the fan who bought his rings at the Lakers' home opener Oct. 20.

"He's like, 'Just come pick them up.' I pulled up on him, and he gave me my shit back. For nothing," Odom said.

Both Odom and his co-host, former Harlem Globetrotter Tavorris Bell, thought he'd have a much more difficult time getting the rings back.

"I know what that meant to you," Bell said. "And even prior to you getting them, those are conversations we had up until that point, and it seemed so far-fetched that you would even be looking at those right now."
