Embiid out at least 2 games as 76ers' injury woes continue
Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid will be out for at least the next two games after spraining his foot, the team announced, according to ESPN's Tim Bontemps.
Embiid will join fellow injured 76ers starters James Harden and Tyrese Maxey on the sidelines for Tuesday's contest against the Brooklyn Nets in Philly.
The big man briefly left Saturday's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves while grabbing his left ankle but eventually returned to the contest. He finished with 32 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in 35 minutes of action.
Last year's MVP runner-up is averaging a career-high 32.3 points per game alongside 10.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists this season for the 8-8 Sixers. He has carried the offensive load lately as the team deals with injuries.
Embiid's next chance to return to the lineup will be on Friday against the Orlando Magic.
