Report: Kings' Sabonis to undergo testing on hand injury
Sacramento Kings forward Domantas Sabonis will undergo further testing after suffering a right hand injury, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Saturday.
It is currently unclear how much time the All-Star is expected to miss, if any, Wojnarowski adds.
The injury was confirmed after Friday's 125-111 loss to the Washington Wizards, and x-rays showed that continued examination was needed, according to Wojnarowski. Sabonis' potential absence would reportedly depend on pain tolerance and whether a more serious injury reveals itself.
Sabonis had one of his best games of the season against the Wizards, putting up a triple-double with 20 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists.
On the year, the Lithuanian is averaging 17.9 points, a league-best 12.4 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game for the surprising 17-14 Kings.
