Report: Lakers ship Bryant to Nuggets
The Los Angeles Lakers are sending center Thomas Bryant to the Denver Nuggets for Davon Reed and three future second-round picks, sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Denver is reportedly sending its second-round selections in 2025, 2026, and 2029 in the swap. The deal later grew into a four-team trade involving the Los Angeles Clippers and Orlando Magic.
Bryant signed with the Lakers this past summer following four seasons with the Washington Wizards and started in 25 of his 42 appearances for L.A. He tallied 12.1 points and 6.8 rebounds while shooting 44% from deep on low volume (1.2 attempts per game).
The Lakers are parting with the 25-year-old to open up minutes in their rotation for Wenyen Gabriel and incoming forward Jarred Vanderbilt, according to Wojnarowski. L.A. reportedly acquired Vanderbilt from the Utah Jazz on Wednesday in a three-team trade that involved the Minnesota Timberwolves.
