Jordan's game-worn sneakers from 6 NBA title-clinching wins up for sale

An iconic set of sneakers from Michael Jordan's six championship runs with the Chicago Bulls is up for grabs.

The set, known as "The Dynasty Collection," is being sold by New York City-based auction house Sotheby's and includes six individual sneakers worn by Jordan in each of the Bulls' six title-clinching games in the 1990s. Sotheby's describes the set as "the most valuable and significant collection of Air Jordan sneakers ever brought to market."

Included in the set are an Air Jordan VI (1991), Air Jordan VII (1992), Air Jordan VIII (1993), Air Jordan XI (1996), Air Jordan XII (1997), and Air Jordan XIV (1998).

The collection will be sold, not auctioned, and is expected to fetch a price tag "well into the millions," according to Matthew Kish of Business Insider.

The current record for the most expensive game-worn footwear is $1.472 million, which someone paid in 2021 for a pair of Nike Air Ships worn by Jordan during his rookie season.
