Report: Bucks receive permission to interview Raptors assistant Griffin
The Milwaukee Bucks have received permission to interview Toronto Raptors lead assistant Adrian Griffin for their head coaching job, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Griffin is also a candidate for the Raptors' open coaching position, Wojnarowski adds.
The Bucks reportedly secured permission to interview Portland Trail Blazers assistant Scott Brooks and former Brooklyn Nets bench boss and current Golden State Warriors assistant Kenny Atkinson.
Griffin, 48, started his coaching career in Milwaukee in 2008. He also spent time with the Chicago Bulls, Orlando Magic, and Oklahoma City Thunder before joining the Raptors in 2018 under Nick Nurse. Prior to his coaching career, he played nine seasons in the NBA.
The Bucks fired Mike Budenholzer earlier in May after losing in the first round to the Miami Heat in five games.
