The Utah Jazz are finalizing a three-year, $55-million contract extension with guard Jordan Clarkson, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The new terms kick in next season.

Clarkson recently exercised his $14-million player option for the 2023-24 campaign, so the re-negotiation gives him a raise for the upcoming year. The 31-year-old signed a four-year, $51-million deal with Utah in 2020.

The former Sixth Man of the Year winner is coming off his best NBA season. The dynamic guard averaged career highs of 20.8 points and 4.4 assists for the Jazz in 2022-23. He played in 61 of the first 65 games before missing the final 17 contests due to a hand injury.

The Los Angeles Lakers drafted Clarkson in the second round in 2014. He also spent time with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
