Report: Josh Hart commits to Team USA, completing 12-man roster

New York Knicks wing Josh Hart committed to the final spot on the Team USA roster for the FIBA World Cup this summer in the Philippines, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Hart joins Knicks teammate Jalen Brunson on the 12-man roster, which includes four current or former All-Stars.

The roster is highlighted by 2023 All-Stars Tyrese Haliburton and Anthony Edwards, along with former All-Star Brandon Ingram and Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr.

None of the players have previously played for the senior men's national team in international competitions.

Team USA will be coached by Golden State Warriors bench boss Steve Kerr, who's taking over from Gregg Popovich. The Americans won gold in the Tokyo Olympics under Popovich.

The squad will begin its training camp on Aug. 3 in Las Vegas. It'll face Puerto Rico, Greece, and Germany in exhibition contests before the World Cup begins on Aug. 25.

The Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia are co-hosting the tournament, with the knockout stages taking place in Manila.
