Barkley: KD is 'part of that generation who think he can't be criticized'
Charles Barkley doesn't appear ready to settle his beef with Kevin Durant.
The Hall of Famer and TNT analyst took aim at Durant's mentality in an interview with Jon Wertheim of CBS News published Sunday, saying the Phoenix Suns star has difficulty accepting criticism.
"He's very sensitive," Barkley said. "Great player. He's part of that generation who think he can't be criticized. He's never looked in the mirror and said, 'Man, was that a fair criticism?'"
The feud between the two ignited in April 2022 when Barkley called Durant a "bus rider" on the Golden State Warriors' championship teams. Durant fired back by sharing a series of photos on Instagram of Barkley alongside some of his notable former teammates, seemingly insinuating that Barkley was a "bus rider" himself.
On an episode of his podcast "The Etcs" earlier this year, Durant said he has "nothing but respect" for what Barkley accomplished on the court but doesn't like the way he approaches the game as an analyst.
This ain’t gettin tiring chuck? I’ll never respect the words that come out ya mouth fam just deal with it https://t.co/ZGGCIs62El

Barkley has served as an analyst on TNT's "Inside the NBA" since 2000. The 60-year-old will also be co-hosting a new show, titled "King Charles," on CNN beginning this fall.
