Dr. J leaves LeBron off list of top 10 NBA greats
Julius "Dr. J" Erving's list of the 10 greatest NBA players of all time has a noticeable omission.
Erving shared his list in an interview with NBA media personality Joy De'Angela, beginning with the five players he considers "untouchable."
"Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and Elgin Baylor: That's my all-time best team," Erving said. "Everybody else gotta be on the second team or the third team."
LeBron James failed to crack Erving's top 10. The Hall of Famer instead rounded out his list with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Karl Malone, and Nate Archibald.
When asked about Stephen Curry, Erving noted that everyone on his list is retired.
"(Curry) hadn't even played long enough. He gotta finish his career," Erving said. "Everybody I named in there, their career's finished."
