PG: It's a 'weird dynamic' sharing arena with Lakers
The NBA's two Los Angeles teams have called the same arena home for more than two decades, but that will change next year when the Clippers move into their new digs at the Intuit Dome.
Clippers star Paul George spoke about what it's been like sharing Crypto.com Arena on the latest episode of his podcast, admitting it often feels more like the Lakers' home than theirs.
"We share the space there - it's a weird dynamic," George said. "'Cause I was telling him, we'll go in the weight room ... it's the craziest shit. (LeBron James) got his shit over here, you don't touch his shit."
Teammate Terance Mann, who was a guest on the episode, agreed with George's sentiment and added that he believes most of the workers at the arena are Lakers fans.
"It feels like we're the little bros over there," George said. "They treat us different."
The 18,000-seat Inuit Dome is scheduled to be completed in time for the start of the 2024-25 season at a cost of $1.8 billion, just under what Steve Ballmer purchased the Clippers for in 2014.
