Josh Hart is finalizing a four-year, $81-million extension with the New York Knicks, his agents told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Wednesday.

Hart, who's currently competing with USA Basketball ahead of the FIBA World Cup, will earn a total of $94 million through the 2027-28 campaign.

The Villanova product joined the Knicks midway through last season in a trade with the Portland Trail Blazers. He averaged 10.2 points, seven rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.4 steals on 51.9% shooting from beyond the arc in 25 regular-season games with his new team. Hart was also a key piece of New York's playoff run.

Hart has carved out a solid career as a top-end role player since being selected with the final pick of the first round in 2017. He has career numbers of 9.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, and he's hit 35% of his 3-pointers.

The 28-year-old will once again factor into a Knicks backcourt that features college teammate Jalen Brunson, as well as former No. 3 pick RJ Barrett. New York is looking to build off a successful 2022-23 campaign.
